STIS2 is the STIS 3-D (Stereoscopic Image System) v. 2.0 by Phillip W.
O'Neal (dated May, 1994). STIS 2 is part of a wave of picture viewing
which is sweeping the country (well, that might be a little exagerated,
but I see STIS pictures in bookstores, on coffee tables, and on the
pages of my Sunday comics. STIS images are those funny, blurry,
multi-colored "pictures" which, if you can't see them, you are convinced
that everyone is just trying to make you look like a fool by getting you
to stare at them. But it's true, there are actually pictures there!
STIS will allow you to make them yourself! With this program you can
change an uncompressed .PNT/.TPI (Prism Paint/True Paint) image that you
create or find into a stereoscopic 3-D image (sample pictures included).
STIS will run on any ST, TT, FALCON, ect., and create 3-D images any
size (limited by memory) and any number of colors. This is an amazing
program! I recommend that you also get STIS v.1.0 which allows you to
create STIS pictures with Degas pictures. Here's how I view STIS
pictures: I press my nose right up to the monitor and to relax. As my
eyes relax the picture becomes blurry. I then take my nose off the
glass about two inches and relax again. After a little bit I begin to
see depth in the picture. That gives me something to focus on and the
picture appears. The pictures aren't all that crisp, but they are
astounding! Color or mono. Docs included.
